Merriwa Primary School's 0-3 Playgroup will commence on Friday the 24th February and will be held every Friday from 8.40 - 11am in Room 3. All welcome.
Merriwa Education Support Centre's School Readiness Program caters to 2-3 year olds with disabilities and diverse educational needs. It will commence Thursday 16th February at 9:45am in Room 30.
Kindy Enrolments 2017
If your child is born between 1st July 2012 - 30th June 2013 registrations are now open. Please see the front office for application forms, with copies of Birth Certificate, Immunisation records and Proof of Address.
School Photos are on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th February. Packs have been sent home on Tuesday 7th February. Please return on the day with money in the envelope provided and see your teacher for day and time of your class photos.
Early Intervention Program
Merriwa Education Support Centre is currently taking expressions of interest for enrolment in 2017. Do you have a child recently diagnosed with autism, who is eligible to attend kindy this year? The early intervention program caters for only six students in the kindy class. The two-year program prepares children with autism for mainstream schooling from year one.

Merriwa Primary School will be holding an ANZAC Ceremony on the 7th March. Members of the local community, RSL and Defence Force have been invited to attend. All parents and caregivers are welcome to join us. The ceremony will commence at 8.30am in the assembly area.
Kaboom Percussion will be doing a performance for the whole school on MondayMarch 13th. Please return permission slips to classroom teachers ASAP!
The P&C will be holding a pizza lunch on Friday 24th March. Pizza boxes (2 slices) of either Hawaiian, Meatlovers or Cheese flavours are $4 and juice boxes $1. Please return order form and money to your classroom teacher.

Our school Principals Mrs Macri and Mrs Waterhouse were proud to receive their IPS certificates at a ceremony attended by the Premier, the Minister of Education and the Department Director General.
Our Merriwa Campus is now working to transition to our new status which will be launched here early next year. The school council will become a board, and will be involving more parents and community members. As usual, we will keep on our focus on making the Merriwa Campus an inclusive place of excellence.
